EEOC Conciliations

EEOC Conciliation is a statutorily-required attempt to resolve charges of discrimination through an informal, voluntary conferencing method. If EEOC charges are filed, the parties will be invited to participate in conciliation discussions. The discussions are negotiations and an opportunity to informally resolve the charge of discrimination asserted by the employee or former employee. During this process, the EEOC investigators work with the employee and employer to negotiate a mutually-agreeable remedy to the alleged act of employment discrimination.
