JENNIFER L. CHAPMAN was born in Blairsville, Georgia on March 15, 1976. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2002 and is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Chapman attended the University of Georgia, earning her B.B.A. in Accounting, summa cum laude, with honors, First Honor Graduate, in 1997 and her M.Acc. in Tax in 1998. While at UGA, she was elected to Mortar Board, Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Beta Alpha Psi. In 2002, she earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served as Editor in Chief of the Georgia Law Review. Ms. Chapman is the author of Navigable Purpose? Prove It. Rethinking the Role of the Navigational Servitude in Regulatory Takings Claims After Lucas v. South Carolina Coastal Council. 35 Ga. L. Rev. 1195 (2001). Following law school, she clerked for Hon. Clay D. Land, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Georgia.
Ms. Chapman is a member of the American Bar Association, the Western Circuit Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Ms. Chapman is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Georgia School of Law. Her practice areas include Taxation, Trusts and Estates, Probate, and Corporate Law. |
