Adam B. Land
ADAM LAND is an attorney in the firm’s corporate department. His practice focuses on the acquisition and disposition of businesses, franchising, corporate structures, public-private ventures, commercial leasing and a variety of general corporate and business related matters. Prior to joining the corporate department, Adam spent time in Fortson, Bentley and Griffin’s litigation department, where he advised clients in a variety of practice areas, including business and commercial litigation, real estate law, plaintiff’s personal injury litigation, landlord-tenant law, and criminal defense.
Adam earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served on the Georgia Law Review. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to law school, Adam was an officer in the United States Navy. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Western Circuit Bar Association.
Adam and his wife, Jacqueline, are active in the Athens community. He is a 2010 graduate of LEAD Athens, currently serves on the board of directors of the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross, and served on the board of directors of the Clarke County Mentor Program from 2011-2014. Jacqueline teaches Language Arts at Athens Academy and coaches cross-country. They have three children. Away from the office, Adam enjoys spending time with his family cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, running, hiking, and taking advantage Athens’ thriving live music and food scenes.
