Estate and Trust Administration

Our attorneys provide full representation of personal representatives administering estates, including those with wills and those without wills. Our services include assisting with all probate court matters including preparing and filing petitions for appointment of the executor or administrator, preparing and filing inventories and accountings, and preparing filings to close the estate and have the personal representative relieved of liability. We also assist in the marshaling of assets and payment of debts, the sale of estate assets, and the distribution of estate assets. Often our services will include advising and assisting the client's accountant with the filing of appropriate tax returns. We also advise individual and corporate trustees with respect to the proper administration of trusts, including dealing with tax issues. Our services also include representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in tax and other disputes.
